Subject: The Pandemic Body
Dear friends
At the risk of shameless self-promotionalism (and a certain degree of trepidation!), I wanted to share with you a short piece I wrote called “Some Notes on the Visualization of the Pandemic Body,” as a contribution to a collection of online texts assembled by Birgit Meyer (Utrecht U) addressing questions about religion, culture, science, and politics in pandemic times.
My piece is available here: https://religiousmatters.nl/some-notes-on-the-visualization-of-the-pandemic-body/?fbclid=IwAR3ekBsZKiMQIgSS6FKoFNN3kEIj-2GP7Wa4S72zA2Evn9OicCrqGZ-h1LU
The whole dossier is really worth a look; it contains numerous interesting texts, focusing especially (but not only) on the way the Corona-virus pandemic is being engaged with in Africa. https://religiousmatters.nl/dossier-corona1/
Please share with others whom you think may be interested. If you are a Facebook user, I’ve posted the piece on my own site (and you can share from there): https://www.facebook.com/jeremy.stolow
Hoping otherwise you are safe and well in these most troubling times,
Warm regards,
Jeremy
