Subject: Announcement: Important forthcoming conference on World's Religions After September 11

Dear member of the AAR,

I write to you as an AAR Program Unit Chair. I shall be grateful if you could share the following announcement of an important forthcoming conference with the members of your unit and give some thought to participating in it yourself.

The third global conference on World’s Religions After September 11 will meet in Montreal, on September 15, 2016. More information about which can be obtained from the website: www.worldsreligions2016.org.  An important feature of this conference could be the release of a Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the World’s Religions – the first of its kind.

With thanks and best wishes.

Sincerely,

The third global conference on World’s Religions After September 11: From Faith toInterfaith is taking place on September 15, 2016, at Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

A Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the World's Religions will be released on this occasion. An evening performance of sacred dance and music from different traditions of the world will also be held to celebrate the release of the Declaration.

This year's event will help reinforce the positive role of religion in modern life, despite recent terrorist attempts in Paris, Ankara and Brussels to use it as a veil for aggression and hate.

Highlights include its keynote speakers:
  • Karen Armstrong
  • Gregory Baum
  • Deepak Chopra
  • Harvey Cox
  • Phil Fontaine
  • Susannah Heschel
  • Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
  • Charles Taylor
Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page as we continue to make announcements about ticket sales, advertising and sponsorship opportunities and new speakers.

Best regards,
Secretariat
