Subject: SSSR 2017 Annual Meeting

Important information about our 2017 annual meeting, travel awards, and membership . . . 
The online system for submitting abstracts or sessions for the 2017 annual meeting is now open at www.sssrweb.org. The deadline to submit abstracts is March 31, 2017, and decision notifications will be made by April 30, 2017. Please consult the Call for Papers for further details.

The theme of the meeting will be "Going Public: The Social Impact of Scientific Research on Religion" and it will take place October 13-15, 2017 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.

We are also accepting applications for the Shand International Travel Award and the Student Travel Award, both with March 31 deadlines. 

Finally, if you have not already done so, please renew your SSSR membership for 2017: renew membership.
