Dear All,

Pls note that the October 2016 issue of the Journal of Contemporary Religion (JCR) is now available online. This is a Special Issue on Ritual Risk.
For a limited period, the publishers have made three articles available for free access.

This Special Issue is focused on ritual, risk, and efficacy, exploring ethnographic studies in Christian ritual, and features (besides a number of book reviews) seven research articles, three of which can be read and downloaded at no charge until the end of 2016:

·        ‘Risking a Miracle: Transcendentally Oriented Improvisation and Catholic’ Charismatics’ Involvement in a Transylvanian Canonization'

·        ‘Challenging Authority, Averting Risk, Creating Futures: Intersectionality in Interpreting Christian Ritual in Samoa’

·        ‘Can Pilgrimage Fail? Intent, Efficacy, and Evangelical Trips to the Holy Land’

Simply visit the Journal’s page at: http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/cjcr20/31/3?nav=tocList

I hope you will enjoy this Special Issue.
